Migs Keane started her career at the Eileen Becket Dog Salon in England, after
completing her apprenticeship she opened her own establishment in Broadheath England where she successfully operated
for many years before moving to sunnier climates in South Africa.
Migs continued her showing and breeding of Standard Poodles and is a well-known figure in the show-grooming world.
In 1988 Migs opened her new salon Professional Dog Groomers in Vanderbijlpark where she is still actively engaged today.
In 1994 Migs recognised the need for a professional dog grooming school and The Professional Academy of Dog Groomers was born.
Since then Migs has trained people from all over South Africa, whether it be Show-Grooming, Mobile-Grooming, All-Breeds Grooming
or just to properly groom your own pet, many of her students have gone on to open there own successful dog grooming establishments.
The Professional Academy of Dog Groomers was featured on the S.A.B.C. TV program Your Own Business.
